Autumn always calls me into the kitchen. It’s the coziness of this season. Here in Krakow, the days get darker and colder. The markets are full of plums, pears, and other autumn fruits. And all of that just calls for a cake.
When autumn hits, I love inviting friends over to bake a cake and share a warm cup of tea. If I only had a TV, we’d watch a movie together. For now, I just bring a cake over to their place. Yes, you guessed it, with cake in hand! There are no bad choices here. All these cakes are easy to make and full of flavor.
Which one of these pear cakes will win your heart this autumn?
1. Elegant almond chocolate pear cake
This cake is elegant and impressive. Perfect when you want to treat yourself or guests. It’s moist and sticky, with a rich chocolate glaze and a gentle hint of Amaretto that makes it extra special.
2. Sticky pear cake
This cake reminds me of a pudding. Nice and sticky, again with a touch of Amaretto. It’s the perfect treat for long, dark autumn evenings, especially with a warm cup of tea.
3. Upside-down pear chocolate cake
The photo doesn’t do this cake justice. It’s actually my favorite. The chocolate cake soaks up the pear juice and turns mousse-like, making every bite rich and mouthful. Serve it straight from the oven and the pears become beautifully glossy.
4. Chocolate amaretto pear cake
You can definitely see a theme here – chocolate, warm spices, and pears baked right inside the cake. And once again, amaretto adds that lovely, full flavor that makes it extra special.
5. Gluten-free chocolate and pear cake
If you can’t eat gluten or just want to try something different, this one’s for you. It’s super easy to make, and the combination of hazelnuts and pears is a match made in heaven.
