What was your first food memory?
Mine is semolina pudding. I don’t know how old I was. Maybe two. My mom still served me food in baby bottles with teats. There were 2 or 3 different recipes, but only one I was looking forward. The sweet, creamy semolina pudding goodness.
For some reason, I haven’t made it for years. Maybe I thought it was too difficult. It’s not. Try it. One of the simplest desserts in the universe.
Other ones would be kisiel and budyń.
Kaszka na mleku
- 1 cup milk
- 2 Tbsp semolina
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
Place the milk, semolina, and sugar a small size saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and cook for around few more minutes until the mixture thickens.
Stir it during the process to avoid lumps.
Pour it into a bowl.
Drizzle it with favorite jam, syrup or fruits.
You can serve it either warm or cold.
