Dungeness – beach, nuclear power station and food

Dungeness

While we visited our friends in UK, we spent Sunday in Dungeness.

It’s hard to describe this place, my first impression was it is like wild, wild west. You know American style, with empty streets and abandoned buildings, maybe that was something about the style of houses, but I felt that the only thing missing was tumbleweed.

The scary bit was that there is actually a nuclear power station. In Poland a nuclear power station has only one connotation – Chernobyl, but here people are fishing, eating ice-creams, having their holiday homes, just idyllic.

It’s really beautiful place, nice, big shingle beach that apparently is great for fishing. It’s a perfect spot for photo shot.

And the good news was there is a great spot for food – simple, delicious, no-fuss, fresh sea-food.
