For some of you El Nido could be paradise. It is all about sun, beach, palms, super fresh seafood, tiny, secluded islands, beach bars and no big hotels in sight. What more would you like?
Unfortunately it wasn’t that simple for me. El Nido and Philippines are for me like a cute, charming guy, who flirts with you, but there is no spark, no magic and we just didn’t click. That’s what happened to me. It’s not about you, it’s about me. I’m sorry.
I might not fall in love with the location, but for sure I enjoyed the flirting. Relaxing on the beach, avoiding falling down coconuts, feeding eyes with beautiful colours and views.
The sunsets were the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. We ate dinners at a candlelit table by the sea, listening to live bands. We ate delicious, fresh seafood like the biggest piece of tuna or sizzling seafood platter.
So it was beautiful, but it wasn’t my prince charming.
