Ireland is full of beautiful, quiet places where I love coming back. Mount Usher Gardens is one of them. But it’s really hard for me to try to describe why is it so amazing, as I keep being awed by almost every garden I visit. I hope photos will describe it better than my words.
You can find plenty different plants here, but that is not one of those French gardens where everything is aligned, this garden is wild. I can only imagine how much work was put into creating a garden like this, I know that it wasn’t accident.
This lack of control makes you feel more welcomed, it’s cosy, quiet and friendly.
There are parts that are covered in shade, where you hear the river flowing and there are spots where if you are lucky you can get soaked with the sun.
I notice more and more that places I like are places where I feel good. Mount Usher makes me feel calm and happy. It’s perfect if you need to just catch your breath.
Of course it wouldn’t be truly Irish garden if it hadn’t a cafe or two. So after a walk you can grab some lunch.
